Nanto Cleantech developed a biocide-free technology for antifouling applications
(October 2018) – Nanto Cleantech has participated and delivered a presentation at NANO.IL.2018, the leading international nanotechnology conference in Israel. The conference has been held from 9th to 11th October in Jerusalem, with more than 800 participants, from Israel and abroad.
On 9th October, from 10:00 to 13:00 the tutorial “Nanotechnology in Traditional Industry” has been held, with Prof. Shmuel Kenig, opening the session with an oral presentation titled “From Commercial Nanoparticles to Applied Polymer Nanocomposite Products“. Prof Kenig is Dean of the Faculty of Engineering & Head of Master’s Degree Plastics Engineering Dept at Shenkar College Tel Aviv, and also Nanto Cleantech’s Chief Technology Officer.
In the same tutorial, Nanto Cleantech’s CEO Roberto Cafagna has delivered a presentation titled “Industrial Applications Based on Novel Nanomaterials: Best Practise“. Mr. Cafagna has introduced Nanto Cleantech, its technologies and patents, and the projects the company is currently involved in, working with international important partners from different sectors.
One of the latest project is ReSiSTant, started in January 2018 under Horizon 2020, with the aim to develop and obtain nanostructured riblet surfaces, to be applied in Aircraft Turbofan Engines and Industrial Compressor. The industrial partners in this project are General Electric, Lufthansa Technik and Man.
The presentation has been closed with some best practise of Nanto Cleantech’s smart functional coatings, improved using company’s patented technologies, which have been supplied to some customers from different end-user sectors, such as marine, oil&gas and infrastructure.
