Nanto Cleantech has been awarded a new patent covering an invention concerning fire retardant materials made of polymers, plastics and elastomeric-based materials comprising nanoclays intercalated with protonised silane.
The patent “Nanoclays containing flame retardant chemicals for fire retardant applications” describes an approach to provide enhanced fire protection by treating the nanoclays by flame retardant chemicals.
